| Well I'm debating the idea of building a 2.8 v-6, I'm wanting to use various engine parts, like a 3400 crankshaft along with the 3400 heads, and intake, and was wandering if it was possible? If I could use my stock rods, or 3.1 rods, or 3400 rods? Or would I have to figure all these measurements out on my own? What pistons should I use, etc? |

Well you do need to do some research, to find out what will happen when. But....
When using a 3400 crank in a 2.8 block with a stock bore you get a 3.1.
Yes, you can use the 3400 top end, that what makes a hybrid a hybrid.
All factory 660 rods are the same 5.7" length, so yes you can use any of those rods you mentioned.
You would be using pistons for a 3.1, but oversized to whatever over bore is done to your block. _________________ I'm not bossy, I just have better ideas.
