A hybrid in the context of the 660 is generally accepted as being a combination of different generation engines, from the same family. In the case of what we are catering to on this site, the GM 660.

In most cases a genII (2.8/3.1) bottom end will be used with a genIII (3100/3400) top end (heads, intake and a few other parts).

In some cases a genI (2.8/3.4) bottom end may be used due to vehicle fitment, and ease of install in certain vehicles.

So if there are any specific questions, ask and they will be answered to the best of eveyone's ability and knowledge.

Also refer to this section on the main site.
